Communications and Public Engagement

Children’s Aid Societies are rooted in their communities and are continuously looking for new ways to provide important and relevant information to the people who use their services and the broader community. OACAS works with and provides services to member agencies to help keep their communities informed and work to increase public knowledge on the services of Children’s Aid and their role in keeping children and families safe.

OACAS and its member Children’s Aid Societies are increasing public knowledge around reporting suspected abuse and neglect. We are working with schools, police, childcare providers, doctors and nurses and other professionals who work closely with children, to find innovative ways to share information and provide further education on child safety.
