OACAS Journal

    The OACAS Journal is published quarterly by the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies (OACAS).The OACAS Journal is the best source of information on child welfare research and practice. The OACAS Journal welcomes articles from researchers, writers at universities, institutes and child welfare agencies on programs, projects and initiatives to improve the lives and outcomes of children and youth and their families.

    Circulation and readership
    Journal print and electronic edition is distributed to 3,300 readers including child welfare agencies, institutes, libraries and universities.  The diverse readership of the journal includes:

    • child welfare administrators, practitioners and researchers
    • CAS board members, social workers, foster parents and volunteers

    Writers
    The OACAS welcomes articles from researchers and practitioners on projects and initiatives at local agencies, research institutes and universities that help agencies provide care and supports to children, youth and families in communities across Ontario, Canada and the world.  Both personal accounts, opinion and news articles will be considered for publication.  OACAS also welcomes executive summaries, excerpts and abstracts from researchers and academics.
