The OACAS Journal is published quarterly by the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies (OACAS).The OACAS Journal is the best source of information on child welfare research and practice. The OACAS Journal welcomes articles from researchers, professionals, practitioners, writers at universities, institutes and child welfare agencies on programs, projects and initiatives to improve the lives and outcomes of children and youth and their families (child well-being).
Circulation and readership
The print and electronic editions of the Journal are distributed to over 4,200 readers including child welfare agencies, institutes, libraries and universities. The diverse readership of the Journal includes:

Article Requests
Please contact journal@oacas.org if you are looking to have a scan or hardcopy of a Journal article. Provide the name, author, volume and number of the article along with the email or address you would like the article sent to. Articles are scanned or copied at a cost of $4.00 per article.
Writers
OACAS welcomes articles from researchers, professionals and practitioners on the subject of child well-being. Read the guidelines for articles and how to submit an article.
Editorial Board
All papers and articles submitted to the OACAS Journal are reviewed anonymously through a blind review process through the Editorial Board. Reviewers are not identified to the contributors and vice versa. The Editorial Board Coordinator facilitates the process and retains copies of the original submissions but is not involved in the review.
Members of the Editorial Board review the submission based on a review matrix to ensure that they fit within the submission guidelines. The reviewing member of the Editorial Board will provide comments and feedback where necessary. All submitters will be informed of the decision to include the submission, request changes be made or decline the submission at this time by the Editorial Board Coordinator.
