OACAS HR Symposium

Diversity. Accessibility. Inclusivity.

Is your organization accessible to people with disabilities?

Fran Odette and other speakers provided an informative and interactive presentation and discussion on the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and how your organization can remove barriers to make it more accessible. Did you know that more than 15% of Ontarians or 1 in 17 people have a disability?

Fran Odette, Woman of Distinction 2008, has spent 20 years advocating for the well-being of people with disabilities and will facilitate this ground-breaking presentation to help you answer the question “how do I change my organization to one that supports accessibility?”

The Symposium also offered panel discussions, break out groups, question and answer opportunities and consideration of next steps towards increasing accessibility and including abilities of all levels in your organization. This symposium was an interest to those working in Human Resources, Office Administration and Management, Diversity and Anti-Oppressive Practice and those who work with people facing accessibility issues.
